The 22-year-old tennis player Emma Raducanu wraps up this year's campaign and plans to retain coach into the 2026 season.
Raducanu advanced to round three in three of the four major tournaments during the season.
Britain's Emma Raducanu has pulled out of her final two events in 2025 as a result of the illness that has affected her in recent days.
The 22-year-old was scheduled to compete in tournaments in Tokyo and Hong Kong but opted to return home to rest and recuperate prior to beginning her preparations for 2026.
Her upcoming training are set to feature coach Francisco Roig, as the pair have decided to continue collaborating for the upcoming season.
Raducanu required blood pressure checks during her first-round match versus Ann Li in the Wuhan tournament and withdrew when trailing 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.
She needed once more a doctor's assessment at this week's Ningbo Open, where she lost in three sets to local wildcard Zhu Lin in round one.
She was also playing with clear difficulty in the third set in the match with Zhu owing to back discomfort that has been a concern during parts of the season.
Those results meant an encouraging season, in which the player advanced into the world's top 30 after a long gap since her previous ranking, finished with a trio of defeats.
The athlete was close to victory with three match points before losing to Jessica Pegula in the third round in last month's Beijing event.
She secured 28 victories this year and advanced to the semis in the Washington tournament, but the highlight of her season was at the Miami Open in March.
The British number one advanced to the quarters of this WTA 1000 tournament, beating eighth seed Emma Navarro during the tournament then falling in three sets to fourth-ranked Pegula.
She worked with Mark Petchey as coach from Miami until Wimbledon, with Francisco Roig stepping in in time for the US Open.
The original arrangement with the former trainer of Nadal was until the end of the season but they will keep working together, with planned training sessions in the coming months.
Raducanu told that her three-day trial alongside Roig after Wimbledon was like a "covert operation" as they aimed to maintain secrecy.
The player was close to overcoming Sabalenka, the world number one at their initial event as a team in Cincinnati in August.
The coach also accompanied Raducanu in New York, where she reached the third round then falling to 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.
