The Two Fatalities Named in the Providence Campus Shooting as Law Enforcement Press On With Manhunt for Gunman.

Both young individuals who lost their lives in Saturday’s mass shooting in Providence were honored at the start of the week – while an intensive search for their killer carried on following the discharge by Rhode Island officials of the sole person questioned in the case.

Tributes for Ella Cook

Ella Cook, a second-year scholar from Alabama, was described as “an amazing, stable, pious, radiant soul”, according to the Birmingham's Cathedral Church of the Advent, which honored her memory at a service on Sunday.

His name was officially acknowledged by Uzbekistan’s foreign ministry.

“He was exceptionally gentle, witty, and bright. His ambitions were lofty of becoming a neurosurgeon and helping people,” Samira Umurzokova, his sister said in a online post.

Details of the Attack

Nine more persons were hurt in Saturday’s attack in the engineering building of Brown’s university in Providence, during the institution's end-of-term tests.

Law enforcement reported by the end of Sunday that a 24-year-man detained in a police operation at a Hampton Inn about around 27 kilometers from the university earlier in the day was released from custody.
